Hessenpoort Zwolle Solar Park

In 2019, Aton Projects (formerly Volta Solar) constructed a ground-mounted solar park with a total capacity of 7.6 MWp at the Hessenpoort industrial estate in Zwolle. The installation consists of 19,488 solar panels and generates approximately 6.3 GWh of sustainable energy annually, sufficient to cover the electricity consumption of approximately 2,000 households.

The project was developed by the Zonneweide Hessenpoort Cooperative, a collaboration of local companies that jointly invest in a sustainable energy supply. Aton Projects provided the complete engineering, supply, and construction of the solar park, which was successfully commissioned in January 2020.
