Combined Project of Roof-Mounted and Ground-Mounted PV Installation at Emma Safety Footwear

Sustainable production thanks to 6,500 solar panels at Emma Safety Footwear
Aton Projects implemented a hybrid solar installation for Emma Safety Footwear, consisting of both roof-mounted and ground-mounted solar panels. A total of 6,450 panels were installed with a total capacity of 2.6 MWp. The installation delivers more than 2.6 million kWh of sustainable energy annually, accounting for a CO₂ reduction of more than 1,000 tons per year.

Thanks to this combination of roof and ground mounting, Emma can largely power its production in Kerkrade with its own generated solar energy, an important step towards fully circular and climate-neutral production.

“What makes this project unique is the combination of roof-mounted and ground-mounted panels at a single industrial location. This allows Emma Safety Footwear to utilize every available square meter to produce energy-independently.”
