Solar Parks Gorgast Bahn, Gewächshaus & Manschnow, Germany – Ampyr Solar Europe

Cluster of solar parks in Brandenburg, Germany

The Gorgast Solar Cluster is a large-scale solar energy project that Aton Projects realized on behalf of Ampyr Solar Europe in the German state of Brandenburg. The cluster consists of three interconnected solar parks: Gorgast Bahn, Gorgast Gewächshaus, and Manschnow, with a combined installed capacity of 45 megawatt peak.

Aton Projects was responsible for the complete EPC process. This included the detailed technical engineering, procurement and installation of nearly 75,000 PV modules, the construction of DC and AC infrastructure, the building of transformer stations, and the connection to the regional electricity grid.

The solar park annually supplies enough sustainable electricity for more than 13,000 households and prevents the emission of approximately 22,000 tons of CO₂ per year. With a project area of more than 40 hectares, Gorgast makes an important contribution to the energy transition in Germany and underlines the power of the collaboration between Aton Projects and Ampyr Solar Europe in the realisation of high-quality, future-proof PV installations.

“A special feature of this project is the sustainable redevelopment of brownfield sites, including the former Gorgast Gewächshaus site. Remediation and nature compensation measures were integrated into the design here, with attention to biodiversity and landscape integration.”
